And I thought 2020 was hectic...

Good Parsi Wife

It’s been just over a year since I started my Social Media Maternity Leave, and boy oh boy, how fast did that year go!? This is how we look now by the way - I’m still a sleep deprived Mombie, and the GPHubby has transformed into Sub-Zero for some reason… Thank you to those who checked in on me over the past year, and to the handful who actually remembered our birthdays and special days without me posting about them, ha ha! ANYWAY, I just though I’d do a little wrap up of the year that was as it’s been super busy, but very exciting!

YEAR ONE

The GPK#3 turned one in September! He is toddling around the house like he owns it, loves balls, Bluey, blueberries, books, being outdoors and dancing. We did his Besna which was cute as always. I am no longer sharing any photos of the children on Social Media, but this was the baby garland I made for the ceremony:

CAREER CHANGE

So, I didn’t share this with you last year, but I was offered and made redundant from Engineering in July, before I had the GPKid#3. I had been hoping and praying for a redundancy since I went back to work in 2016, but everything happens when it’s meant to, patience is the key! It felt like a happy divorce, so didn’t leave with either party having any ill feelings, which was great. I ended up having a bit of an extended maternity leave (filled with crochet, do you recall?!) which was nice given the pregnancy was so exhausting. I am now finishing my Certificate in Disability so I can change to be a Special Needs Education Assistant next year when I get some ‘FREE TIME"‘ (HAHAHA WHAT IS THAT!?).

VETCHIP

The GPHubby and team have been working tirelessly over the past few months to create VETCHIP! If you haven’t already seen the videos, make sure you like the Facebook page to keep up to date with the exciting developments! So proud of the whole team - hard work, focus and dedication will always pay off!

TM UPGRADE

I’ve finally upgraded my Thermomix after a decade and I look forward to sharing new recipes and tricks when I finally come back online. I also gave a Sourdough workshop to some Thermomix Consultants which was a lot of fun, and felt good to do something apart from cooking, washing clothes and driving kids around, ha!

CAKES

I really love not having to document everything I cook, or waste time clicking photos of my food now that I am on break, but the one thing I do miss the most is sharing my cool creations with you all. So here are my best two cakes - Minecraft Block for the GPKid#2, and Bluey cake for the GPKid#3.

NO MORE NOUVASSE

Earlier this year I shut the company and Amazon business. I have learned to say no to things that I don’t want to do, and learned when to quit when my heart is not fully in something. I loved the whole experience but with everything going on I didn’t have the time or mental capacity to put the necessary effort into Nouvasse. It has been a wonderful learning experience and who knows, I might do something similar in the future. If you loved the product, you can still buy Mudface here.

LIFE IS SHORT

After a shocking and devastating loss of a young relative, taken way too early before her time, please remember life is short and unpredictable. Life life to the fullest, love your family, hug your children and be grateful everyday that you are here with your loved ones, and alive. Always be vigilant when walking on the road, and be vigilant of pedestrians when driving too…

STILL ON BREAK

I’m not mentally ready to come back to GPW yet with everything else that is going on. I’m sure I will one day soon, but until then, you can check out all my recipes and videos on my webpage here, and watch this space for my impending return! Laters alligators!
